about

I just wanted to take some time in between making big and busy records to get back to some more simple stuff, I wanted to do a live recording just to feel that sweet sweet pressure of one take performances.

Track Name: Vague Veridian
If standard spells tired or well versed, you raised a wall,
But if that’s what you want..
Be sure to leave shallow breath for the eleventh hour,
Even the pockets starved of light,
Devoid of any etch or rise,
Given some time, turn the strangest of pale greens,
Damned shrouded, sapping, sulfurous,
Spoken Leidenfrost effect,
Here take this instead, there’s truth still to protect,

And all questions must wait until the end,
For now keep those pallid hands down,
Of those partial to waves of joyless tones,
Well who can wait to be found?

A certain taste falls on my tongue,
Every few years this faintest twinge,
Sends me seeking out something tucked behind,
Shimmering avenues in my childhood,

And what will keep us from small worlds, once old?
Eluding figures are tracking me, of this I’m sure,
Once proclaimed, now privy - these kinds of things,
Vapors alone, can sustain all of me,

A certain taste falls on my tongue,
Every few years this faintest twinge,
Sends me seeking out something tucked behind,
Shimmering avenues in my childhood,
It falls on my tongue,
Every few years this faintest twinge,
Sends me seeking out something tucked behind,
Shimmering avenues in my childhood.
Track Name: Infinite Well
So, this abrasion - or birthmark,
Well either way it evokes, the same stare,
But give not your essence to the infinite well,
As when you’re done and dry, it will be waiting for more,

Given fifteen hundred days,
On the last you’ll plead one more,
‘Just one more.’ you’ll say,
‘Just one. Please.’ Now hear me,
Through winter sun and sheathing shadow,
Flowers grow and so will you,
Take heart child, draw life from deeper roots,

So, this abrasion - or birthmark,
Well either way it evokes, the same stare,
But give not your essence to the infinite well,
As when you’re done and dry it will be waiting for more,
And there’s no reward, I’m sure,

Youth-smile hoarder, you should know better,
Don’t keep our seeds of light locked in your room,
Each is worth more than you,

Take heart child, draw life from deeper roots.
Track Name: Soulscene
Set it down my fellow man,
There’s no need to sigh,
The crackling purr of life content,
Can be both yours and mine,
Past the jostling hives and past,
The towers in the sky,
Was there once, and is there still,
A way both yours and mine,

Set to roll on ever onward and I want to roll along,
And wander in her presence, never alone,

But to find no time in your busy life,
Days go by, then years,
Be careful, you might just quell the voice,
That asks, ‘Why aren't you here?’

A precious land of hidden nests,
Shade and dappled light,
My heart warms at the very sight,
It’s here my soul resides,

It’s here my soul resides.
Track Name: Harpy
Lay up high on windy hill, and hear the blades slice,
Lay with me in this near dream, warm, cold, white,
So serene, so mild,
Peace in freedom and isolation,

Come on now, ask me that question I hate,
Ask me twelve times each day,
The answer won’t change,
So I plan to prevail, often I still find myself,
Wandering up the mountain,
Picking Pink Ladies at the top, with you,
Even now, even now,
Even when:

I’m flying across the,
Making sure there’s,
Working through your,
And dealing with my,
I’m flying across the,

The way down is not clear,
But I’m sure we’ll find the way.
Track Name: Wave And Water
If I were struck by lightning in a couple of days,
If a fatal car crash came my way,
I think my greatest fear, would not be of death,
But all the honest words, that went left unsaid,
For all the brilliant hearts, that grace my days,
And who shape my world, like the desert winds,
More and more I’m seeing, who you are,
And may you each walk the golden fields, of heaven,

A quick scan of the fuselage,
A ‘Surely we all make it home.’,
I stand for you tonight,
With clear and sharp eyes,
Until the sunlight warms your wings,

‘Cause each night goes to a tally that grows,
One day down for everyone that I know,

And one down for me,
